Fred was in this week arranging the dry pack of the tiled areas in preparation for the floors to be done. By week's end, he had all the floor tile in and was starting on the walls.
Priming is all done and the house is really starting to push past the half way mark. A bunch of clean up was required this week... I like to keep the dust down and out as much as I can.
The tapers have finished, and the walls and ceilings are being primed. We're getting set for the finishing stages of the build. That means we are about halfway done - more... or less?
Alvarino's guys have completed boarding and the taping crew has started. It's at this point that the rooms take shape, but they also sometimes feel smaller at this stage.... they get bigger when they are furnished!
With the aluminum and caulking completed, the outside is looking great. Mick was in early to do some soundproofing of key areas. Meanwhile, George from Everest Insulation was in to spray foam all exterior walls and joist pockets. This house will be nice and cozy and pretty energy efficient!
