Week 1: Demolition begins
Demolition begins this week. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the project, this will largely be a "by hand" demolition job. In a week or so, we should be ready to dig the addition out back. Stay tuned...
Week 9: Basement Pour
While Kevin prepares the mast and meter box for electrical service (I love bungalows.... no waiting for exterior cladding to get our own electrical service!), Thom was busy prepping the basement. He leveled, added a layer of 1.5 rigid foam continuous insulation, then made a little hole in the front for his chute. By Thursday, he was ready to pour and by Friday we were walking on the new basement floor!
