Week 12: Rough-ins (mostly) complete

With rough-ins 95% complete, it was time for inspections, which went well.  We will have some tweaking to do over the next couple of weeks, but for the most part we are ready for drywall.  It's time to let the house breath for a while inside while we focus on closing in the outside next week.

Week 9: Basement Pour

While Kevin prepares the mast and meter box for electrical service (I love bungalows.... no waiting for exterior cladding to get our own electrical service!), Thom was busy prepping the basement.  He leveled, added a layer of 1.5 rigid foam continuous insulation, then made a little hole in the front for his chute.  By Thursday, he was ready to pour and by Friday we were walking on the new basement floor!

Week 3: Framed front, walls topped up

In our third week, we took advantage of some nice weather and got the front and some of the main floor walls framed up.  Tom was also able to pour the extra height on the existing walls (bringing interior ceilings up to ten feet) and start the rear addition foundation.
