Week 16: Masonry Complete

The finishing details on the front are really coming along.  The stucco guys were back to do the crown moulding that wraps around the porch, as well as the detail above the porch roof.  Once the aluminum and caulking are done, the house will really take shape!

In our third week, we took advantage of some nice weather and got the front and some of the main floor walls framed up.  Tom was also able to pour the extra height on the existing walls (bringing interior ceilings up to ten feet) and start the rear addition foundation.

Week 9: Basement Pour

While Kevin prepares the mast and meter box for electrical service (I love bungalows.... no waiting for exterior cladding to get our own electrical service!), Thom was busy prepping the basement.  He leveled, added a layer of 1.5 rigid foam continuous insulation, then made a little hole in the front for his chute.  By Thursday, he was ready to pour and by Friday we were walking on the new basement floor!
