The tapers have finished, and the walls and ceilings are being primed. We're getting set for the finishing stages of the build. That means we are about halfway done - more... or less?
While Kevin prepares the mast and meter box for electrical service (I love bungalows.... no waiting for exterior cladding to get our own electrical service!), Thom was busy prepping the basement. He leveled, added a layer of 1.5 rigid foam continuous insulation, then made a little hole in the front for his chute. By Thursday, he was ready to pour and by Friday we were walking on the new basement floor!
In our third week, we took advantage of some nice weather and got the front and some of the main floor walls framed up. Tom was also able to pour the extra height on the existing walls (bringing interior ceilings up to ten feet) and start the rear addition foundation.
